What Is It?

EnergyPark Peterborough will be the UK’s first sustainable biomass from waste power station.  This groundbreaking project gained consent from the UK Government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in November 2009 and construction will begin in 2012.

Once built at Storey’s Bar Road, in Fengate, the EnergyPark will utilise the PREL Solution  to produce renewable energy from waste whilst recycling and manufacturing by-products.

Pioneered by Peterborough-based developers PREL and part of the Green Energy Parks group of companies, EnergyPark Peterborough will demonstrate that we no longer need to bury our waste under the ground.  EnergyPark Peterborough will take in mixed waste and sustainably realise the true value in it.
